Reading Room
A reading area with the sitting capacity of approximately 50 readers there in the Reading Room. Students are expected to make the maximum use of reading room facility provided in the college. No Food or Drink is allowed in the reading room. Mobile phones are to be placed non Silent mode or Switched off and no calls are to be taken and received. Readers should work quietly and be considerate to others using the reading room.
Library
Library is the heart of every institution. Our library meets all the conditions laid down by Punjabi University, Patiala and is fully computerized which provides excellent facilities to our students. The library is well ventilated, spacious and well stocked with books, annual reports, magazines, journals, synopsis, knowledge for the students. The books are authored by persons of national and international repute. There is a separate Research and Reference section, Periodicals and magazine section, Journal Section and general reading section. The outside researchers can also have an access to the library's research section both online and offline. The college library has a very resourceful research and development cell which makes synopsis, thesis, dissertations, basic of research guidelines, annual reports of Indian and foreign companies, research papers-national and international, CDs, DVDs, Project reports and case studies available to students on a continuous basis. Computer Lab
The computer lab has a networking to every computer, running vaious platforms such as Windows 7, Windows 10, Linux and MAC operating System. Most of the modern computer languages and processors are also avaible to the students. The department has also procured the latest state-of-the-art tools for application development such as Ms-Office, C, C++, Tally, Visual Studio, Java and Oracle etc. The computer laboratory is well equipped with high end servers on LAN.
Business Lab
Business Lab is a unique feature of our institution which focuses on imparting partical knowledge of business fundamentals in all aspects e.g. accounts, taxation, import & export procedure documentstion etc. This awareness would be given to students of all the streams. The aim of this lab is to increase the confidence of the students, so that they have no hitch in opening up their own venture. But, if they want to join some service, it would make them easily employable. The Business Lab enhances the student's enterpreneurial qualities and will increase their intellectual capital.
Language Lab
In todays global scenario, where the tentacles of every industry are spreading far and wide, there are countless communities open to individuals and organizations that are equipped with the necessary communcation skills. Through the Language Lab in our college, each student is given personalized assistance on enhancing their communication skills, which are imparted with efficiency and precious from the pre-recorded lessons. Teachers communciate with the students on call or on random basis. There is also a provision to organize Group Discussions to the students on the given topic. Students can interact with the teachers with the head phones and the teachers can also broadcast instructions to all the students. It also exposes the students to a variety of recordings from target language speakers in authentic situations to help them visualize how they can use their new communication skills.
Wi-Fi Campus
Khalsa College Mohali campus is a fine ensemble of latest in terms of infrastructure as well as equipments made available to its students. An open learning atmosphere is promoted through the use of a fully wi-fi enabled setup across the campus. The local area network is also connected to the Internet, and the computer centre works as the Internet Zone for the students. The Internet facility is through Fiber Optic System. It has a speed of 2MBPS upgradeable to more than 30MBPS.
Sports Facilities
Sports & games are very important for building up team work and for overall personality development. Khalsa College Mohali has got a well established sports department with qualified staff. It has got play grounds for indoor and outdoor games and sports equipment for conduct of competitions at university level. The regular and systematic practice of various sports and games is carried out in the evening as a result of this the performance of our students in sports competition at university and All India Inter university level has been excellent. This activity has resulted in development of team spirit in students and their better personality development resulting in enhanced placement of the students with reputed companies.
